On March 14, 2014, I cursed my way through 13.1 miles of the ASICS LA Marathon in support of Angel City Pit Bulls (and wondered aloud why instead we could not do a bake sale as a fundraiser). I did not question the cause, but I was grossly out of shape and a month away from my dissertation defense so the last thing I needed to do on a very hot day in Santa Monica was crawl my way through a half marathon.
Hey! It’s me, Baxter! I was thinking about it the other day, and I was like, “Wait, how come I’m not adopted?” Not to brag, but pretty much all anyone ever does is give me compliments and tell me how much they love me. So I thought for anyone who hasn’t had the pleasure of meeting me yet, I’d give you the run down on my most excellent qualities.
Being an Angel City foster dog isn’t all “sits” and “downs”—our foster dogs get to have a lot of fun, too! We caught up with foster dog Gwennie after a fun morning in the Angeles National Forest to get her recap of the day.
We are so excited to announce that starting this Friday, October 10th, you can see Angel City foster dogs Steve and Sabrina on Kombucha Dog labels across Southern California.
In February 2016 Team ACPB will be running as a Featured Charity in The SKECHERS PERFORMANCE LOS ANGELES MARATHON / LA Big 5K. Do you love running? Do you love Los Angeles? Do you love pit bulls? If you answered "yes" to these three questions – this is the event for you!
