Full of personality and handsome to boot, Rookie is ready to find his future family and make every day bright. Originally found at a fire station as a stray, Rookie stays true to his namesake by being eager to please and ready to show off his stuff as a valuable member of the team! Rookie loves to head out for adventure, whether it’s a walk or run in the neighborhood, or hitting the trails. Otherwise, a zoomie session in the yard will do just fine for this fun-loving boy!

Rookie is a proud graduate of the Paws For Life prison training program, where he received 6 weeks of basic obedience training. There, he made quite the impression--in fact, Rookie topped his trainer Jesse’s charts for one of his all time favorite dogs to train in four years of being part of the Paws For Life program! Rookie is excited to show off everything he has learned in a new home that is equally excited to keep training with him.

About 2 years old and 60 pounds, Rookie is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and knows his basic commands.
