JJ

Superstar JJ joined us from the South LA shelter, where he patiently waited for us to find a spot for him in our program. Thanks to the amazing volunteers at the South LA shelter, JJ made the most of his time at the shelter by attending dog walking class and playgroups. He was excited to show off his skills for us and officially become an Angel City Pit Bull.

JJ has a lovely flexible energy level. He has a playful and silly side but is also attentive and responsive. He walks very nicely on leash and loves to show off his walking class skills by frequently checking in with his handler and flashing an eager grin for a treat. JJ enjoys his walks and even showed promise as a jogging buddy, but he also appreciates a lounge on the dog bed, and a relaxing afternoon in his crate with a peanut butter kong. JJ likes playing with other dogs and with continued guidance, we think he could potentially go to a home with a cat. When he’s hanging out with his human friends, he loves to exchange kisses for ear scratches and chest rubs.

About 3 years old and 55 pounds, JJ is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on his basic commands.
