Helena is 2 years old and came to us as a survivor of an Oneida County, Idaho cruelty case. Along with over 60 other dogs, she was discovered on the property chained and in need of food and shelter. Following their rescue, the dogs were transported to Idaho Humane Society for immediate attention and care, then on to their new life.

However unkind her previous life was, Helena boarded a plane for LA and never looked back. She is happy, playful, social, and inquisitive. Helena is an active girl and is having a blast learning about the world. Whether it's a hike in the mountains or a day at the beach, she is up for whatever fun adventure is in store for her. Helena is proving to be a fantastic running partner and seemed to understand right from the beginning how to pace perfectly with her handler. She adores all people, truly enjoys the company of other dogs, and likes meeting new friends. Helena also has a special little secret to share - she is a grinner... Along with a full body wiggle, she greets her favorite people with the cutest wrinkly-nosed smile, showing off her pearly-whites.

Helena weighs about 50 lbs and is spayed, up-to-date on routine shots, microchipped, house-trained, crate-trained, and is learning her basic manners.
