Before you ask, let’s clear something up: Yes, Harris is a dog, not a Build-A-Bear. We met this sweet, reserved guy at the South LA shelter and knew we wanted to see what he’d blossom into. He may play things close to the chest at first, but soon he’ll be giving you his special low tail wags, exchanging tiny kisses, and pressing his wrinkly head against you for a snuggle session.

Harris enjoys getting his fresh air with a nice walk in the neighborhood, complete with plenty of sniffs. Then he’ll ready to be by your side for whatever the day has in store. He has lofty aspirations to become the taste tester for every recipe you make in the kitchen, and will closely monitor meal prep—you know, just in case you need him for anything. When he’s not making his rounds in the house, Harris enjoys chowing down on a good tank bone and snoozing the day away in his crate.

Harris has made a name for himself in our playgroups as a super fun play buddy. He loves a good round of chase and wrestling, and if we let him, he could go all day with his friends! We think Harris would enjoy living with another playful dog, but he could also do just fine as your only dog.

About 3 years old and 55 pounds, Harris is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on his basic commands.
