Gorgeous George came to ACPB by way of the South LA Shelter. George was an owner surrender, turned in for failing at his guard dog duties because he was "too nice." We don't know if it is possible for a dog to be "too nice," but if it is, then this definitely applies to George. This gentle giant wants nothing more than to lean against everyone he meets; the simple act of resting your hand on his side makes his day complete. When this friendly boy goes out for walk he wants to meet every person he sees. And why not? Everyone he meets swoons over how handsome he is.
George gets along great with his foster siblings. His low to medium energy level is a perfect match for canine and possibly feline friends. While he enjoys his walks, he is perfectly content hanging inside with his toys, or napping in his crate.
Gorgeous George weighs about 70 pounds, is approximately 5-6 years old, up to date on routine shots, microchipped, crate-trained, house-trained and learning his basic commands.
