We met Ellie at the South LA shelter, where she impressed us with her sweet, connected nature. Ellie is a bit timid, but looks to people for reassurance. After a few minutes of ear pets, she warms up and enjoys everyone’s company.

Ellie’s foster parents described her ideal job as being a library snuggler--she loves a quiet environment with her favorite people and dog friends. Ellie’s canine foster sister has been busy teaching her the finer points of playing and having fun, and Ellie would be happy to live in a home with or without other dogs. She has also done well when meeting cats and kids.

About 2 years old and 40 pounds, Ellie is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on her basic commands.
