Doris

According to Doris, she’s never had a bad day in her life--this girl’s all positivity and good vibes! When we met Doris at the South LA shelter, she immediately greeted us with a tail wag and smile, almost as if to say, “What’s up, wanna be best friends?” In our foster program, she’s kept that attitude going by befriending every volunteer she meets.

Doris always greets the day’s activities with her happy head held high, whether it’s enjoying a walk around the neighborhood or romping with her dog friends in playgroups. She’s got moves, too--we were awestruck at her glorious leaps across the play yard and silly splashes in our baby pools. She’s not 24/7 party, though--she has a quiet side, and after her fun she likes to curl up with her blankets and have a good snooze. We’re pretty sure if you asked her to have a chill day binge watching TV, she’d readily accept that invitation too. Doris is so ready to begin her new life with her future best friends. Now all she needs to know is if that’s going to be you!

About 3 years old and 60 pounds, Doris is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on her basic commands.
