Moxi (fka Pebbles) has been adopted! Moxi's family contacted us after seeing an ad on Recycler.com. They were interested in adopting a dog who would fit into a family with cats, small dogs and small children, so it was decided that a puppy would be the best fit, and they decided to meet Pebbles.
Beaux's family has been following us on Facebook and always checking our website. The day we posted Beau(x) for Foster Friday, they contacted us immediately to start the process of adopting him. From there, a meet and greet was set up, and the adoption was finalized!
Ozzie has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! Ozzie's new parents visited NKLA when it opened in August and kept up with the website from time to time. When they saw Ozzie's picture they went in to meet him, and made their decision! Ozzie will be their first dog together as a couple, although they both have some dog experience through relatives. They wanted to rescue a pit bull and are excited to be a part of this community.
Nyla (fka Evie) has been adopted from the NKLA Pet Adoption Center! Nyla's dad saw her posted on our Facebook page and went to the NKLA Pet Center to meet her the same day. He has had pets all his life and was looking for his next best friend - and he found her in Evie.
Shalane's foster family decided to "put a leash on it" and she is officially home. Her foster family has seen quite a few dogs from our program through their front door, and they have been incredibly generous letting our dogs crash at their place until they found their forever homes. Perhaps, not so secretly, they have been hoping that one would stay forever; shortly after Shalane stepped into their house with her overnight bag, they knew she was the one.
Henley (fka Leif) has been adopted. Henley's new mom is the vet technician who cared for him during his stays at Century Vet Group (CVG). She was smitten with him from the day he arrived with his mama, Autumn (fka Oren) and his sister Amber. Sadly, despite the vet staffs best efforts Amber succumbed to parvo, but miraculously the disease did not transmit to Leif, he got big and strong under the care of the vet staff at CVG.
Vida's (fka Honey) new family met her at the NKLA Pet Adoption Center after seeing her on the internet. They knew that they wanted a pit bull, and when they saw her photo they went to meet her and just adored her. It is safe to say Vida is now living in the lap of luxury; she is spoiled with love and affection.
Kaya (fka Peggy Sue of the Sock Hop puppies) has been adopted! Kaya's dad completed an adoption questionnaire with us interested in adopting an adult dog. He played a big part in the adoption of ACPB alum Hanna Banana and we were excited about his interest in adopting from us. After a few conversations, he decided that Peggy Sue checked all the boxes for him and the adoption was finalized.
Calista Flockhart (fka Miss Molly of the Sock Hop puppies) has been adopted! Calista Flockhart's new dad contacted us expressing interest in adopting a puppy. He was very familiar with ACPB and our adoption process - he adopted ACPB alum Two-Bit last year.
Mickey (fka Elvis of the Sock Hop Puppies) has been adopted! Mickey's new dad adopted him via the friendship of his room mates. About six months ago, he said goodbye to his pit bull companion of 12 years, Kane. For his birthday, his room mates wanted to help him adopt a new dog, so one of his room mates contacted their friend, an ACPB volunteer. Mickey looked remarkably like Kane so it was perfect timing!
