Opie

Opie joined us from the Downey Shelter where he was a favorite in their shelter training program. He was shy at first, but showed us his affectionate and silly side once he settled into his foster home. Opie is a bright guy who loves his training sessions. He knows his basic commands and will demonstrate all of them at once for a yummy treat and some belly scratches! He is relaxed on the leash and is attentive to his person, making him a pleasure to take on walks.

Opie is about 3 years old, 65 pounds, and would prefer a quiet, predictable home. He currently lives with other dogs and a cat. Opie enjoys the comany of other dogs, but would be just as okay as an only dog.  He has been indifferent to cats, and with a slow introduction we think he could share his life with a feline friend.
