May

May is a fun loving girl who loves people, playing, and dog friends! This sweet girl joined our program after we met her during recent fire relief efforts at the West LA shelter. Though she may be a little scruffier than our typical “pit bull,” her lovely demeanor had us hooked--once you meet her and see her silly “oops, my lip’s caught on my tooth” smile, we think you’ll understand.

May is always a fan of snuggling up, and loves to lean into you for extra pets or put her head in your lap adoringly in case you have an extra hand free to give her a pat. When she’s not soliciting everyone nearby for rubs, May loves a game of ball and can keep herself busy with her various toys and projects, no problem! May loves to play with other dogs off leash, and is happy to zoom around making friends for days!

We think May would be happy in a home with or without other dogs. About 1 1/2 years old and 45 pounds, May is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on her basic commands.
