Maple

Maple and her 9 pups came to us from the North Central Shelter. After seeing her puppies off to their adoptive homes, Maple is ready for a home of her own.

It's impossible to have a bad day when Maple's around. She has an infectious positive attitude -- her happy eyes and thumping tail are a constant reminder that you should be smiling, too. Maple has been described by volunteers as a teddy bear and would like nothing better than to trade kisses and have her belly rubbed all day. She's a complete love sponge and a trusty and eager companion, whether she's curled up on the kitchen mat while you have your morning coffee, or taking her post on the dog bed while you relax on the couch. She can frequently be found lying belly up in ultimate relaxation mode. But she's also quick to know when a hostess is needed and greet visitors with a friendly wagging tail.

Maple is a proud student of CageFree K9, where she studied leash-walking and appropriate play manners with other dogs. In her foster home, she does her homework to stay cool, calm, collected and focused on her handler while she's out on walks. It's hard work but she's dedicated to being the best dog she can be, and she's looking for an adopter who won't let her skip out on assignments!

About 3 years old and 60 pounds, Maple is micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations, crate-trained, house-trained and knows her basic commands.
