Lindsay joined our program in October of 2015, when she was diagnosed with kidney failure. We expected this sweet, happy girl to be considered a hospice case and were ready to make her days as enjoyable as possible. We got a big surprise a few months ago when her blood work revealed that her kidney functions were back in normal range--meaning Lindsay has quite a few good years ahead of her and is a candidate for adoption.

Lindsay is blind and will require prescription food and continued follow up tests throughout her life, so we do consider her “special needs”--but you know who doesn’t care about that one bit? Lindsay! This girl’s “carpe diem” attitude makes her an absolute joy to be around. She enjoys play sessions with her canine foster siblings, and she’s one of the happiest dogs we know. In her foster home she’s been working on verbal commands to help her navigate around the house.

About 2.5 years old and 50 pounds, Lindsay is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, up to date on routine vaccinations and working on her basic commands.
