Everyone can use a sidekick, but if you need a real Hero to join you on life’s adventures, this is the dog for you! Hero is a good-spirited puppy in a big dog’s body. His foster reports he's at his optimal cuteness in the morning, when he greets you with his full body wiggle to give and receive snuggles and endless kisses. He then likes to relax on his back and rub his face with his front paws like a sea otter. Hero is smooshy from head to tail and happily soaks up all the affection you can give him.

Once he’s had his fill of pets and snuggles, Hero likes to head out for a walk or adventure, where he’s sure to get compliments from strangers on his dashing speckles and freckles and his unique light green eyes. He thinks he might have a future in paw modeling, too, with his big speckled paws! He’s been happy to meet his adoring fans while out on walks and make new friends.

Even though he’s young, Hero’s already shown himself to be a quick study, especially when he’s rewarded with a tasty snack for a job well done. He’s picking up quickly on crate training, a door routine, and all the ins and outs of being a very good boy at home. He’s soaking up everything he can learn, and loves that when he gets it right, he gets even more adoration! A day full of fun, play, learning, and love sounds perfect in Hero’s book.

Hero currently lives with another large dog and thinks playing is the best! He quite enjoys showing off his signature move, doing pony leaps over other dogs’ backs. We think Hero would enjoy going home with another dog that likes his style, but could also hold down the fort solo if there are playdates are on the agenda. About 2 years old and 70 pounds, Hero is crate-trained, house-trained, micro-chipped, and up to date on routine vaccinations.
