Meet Baxter! This naturally happy dog doesn't need a reason to trot around town with a big grin on his face. In his time in our program, Baxter has become a volunteer and foster parent favorite, and now he's looking for a family of his own to smile back at him.

Baxter is an expert snuggler and would love to demonstrate his skills for you. He certainly has had a lot of practice in his foster homes, where he's learned the ins and outs of home life and developed great house manners. Most of the time you can find Baxter snoozing on his dog bed, however he's also a great hiking and jogging companion, and would fit the activity level of any type of home.

Baxter is a fantastic friend to kids of all ages and loves to observe play time with a wagging tail. He would be a perfect addition to a family and is happy to soak up all the love he can get. With a slow introduction, Baxter could also do well with a feline housemate.

Baxter is enrolled in ACPB Academy to polish his on-leash skills, and his adopter is welcome to continue these free classes with him. He's also picked up a few tricks he likes to show off, including Sit, Down, Stay, Come and Shake. He's even written a blog about all of his great qualities if you want to learn more.

Baxter is approximately 3 years old, weighs about 50 pounds, is up to date on routine vaccinations, microchipped, crate-trained, house-trained and knows his basic commands.
