I’m fairly new to the world of pit bulls. I rescued my first pit bulls about 2 years ago when I came into the care of a litter of 10 very young pups. I had no idea when I jumped at the opportunity to help them that I would be forever sucked in by the charming, devoted, goofy, loving and special personalities that make pit bulls so amazing (I mean really, I didn’t stand a chance!).
Moose, in all his gangly, clumsy, sweet and gentle glory, is our first foster dog house guest. Truth be told, we weren't totally convinced this was a good idea when we got a good look at all 65 lbs of him relative to all 30 lbs of our dog, Emma. It’s been a week since Phoebe had ACL surgery, and she is recovering nicely. Phoebe had a rupture of the ligament that holds her knee together. Similar to an ACL tear in a person, she required major orthopedic surgery to repair this issue...
